RWE brings online its 24th wind farm in United States

Windpower Engineering & Development – March 3, 2020

Peyton Creek Wind Farm, a 151-MW onshore facility located in Matagorda County, Texas, has achieved commercial operation. The project in the ERCOT south market is powered by 48 Nordex 3.15-MW turbines. 

With the addition of Peyton Creek, RWE will operate a total installed wind generating capacity of more than 4,000 MW in the United States.

Wind farm to bring in $46 million in tax revenue

The wind farm holds special meaning for E.ON employees, as it is named after Mike Radford, a member of the E.ON development team who passed away from cancer.

E.ON upgrades roads surrounding its Radford’s Run Wind Farm in Illinois

Windpower Engineering & Development – May 25, 2018

E.ON says that it is beginning the final phase of planned road improvements around its Radford’s Run Wind Farm. The first phase was completed in the fall of 2016. 

More than 80 miles of roads will have been improved as a result of this project at a cost to E.ON of about $20 million.

Twin Forks Wind Farm, also known as Radford’s Run Wind Farm,  is located west of Maora in Macon County.

E.ON builds renamed, 278-MW Radford’s Run Wind Farm in Illinois

E.ON announced Oct. 20 that it has just begun the construction of its 278-MW Radford’s Run Wind Farm in Macon County, Illinois.

Radford’s Run will be the second largest wind farm in Illinois and already the third project for E.ON in this state.
